Scholarship Information

The Ruby Hawkins West Memorial Scholarship Golf Tournament has helped more than 270 students in the past 23 years pay for their college textbooks.  

Scholarship Criteria 

1. PRESENT STATUS: Must be a high school senior.

2. ACADEMIC BACKGROUND: Must have a 2.0 or above grade point average (Please enclose an official copy of your high school transcript with this application).

3. CAREER GOAL: Must plan to attend a college, technical school or university directly after high school.  (Please enclose an acceptance letter from the college with this application).

4. CHURCH PARTICIPATION: Must be an active member of a religious organization.

5. SCHOOL DOCUMENTATION: Must attach an official copy of your high school transcript.  Unofficial copies will not be accepted. 

6. APPLICATION DEADLINE: Application must be returned to:

7. Applicants are required to submit an essay (200 words or more) stating why you wish to attend college. 

8. Evidence of Need: Must reside in a single parent household at the time of gradudation.
